Pre-Primary Program

Children who enter our pre-primary program are taking their first steps to a lifetime of learning.  Children are placed in a classroom of mixed ages beginning with children age 3 and continuing through the Kindergarten year.  Mixing ages creates a family atmosphere where older more socially advanced children become role models for their younger friends. At BGMS we encourage active, self directed learning.  Teachers are facilitators to the learning process, providing demonstrations of activities and materials for use by the children.  Within the Montessori classroom the child's chances for failure are minimized and his chances of success are enhanced.
